Haa Haa

Sorry But I couldn't stop laughing for a while after I read today's Times of India

They are enforcing a ban on cow slaughter. I laughed NOT JUST because I like beef, but because of the irony on this bill that has been around for sometime and which they are planning to enforce now.

When our national animal is on the verge of extinction, we are enforcing a law that prevent execution of cows??? WTF. Tigers are now close to extinction we are trying to protect cows? Do we see tiger roaming around street and blocking traffic? Do we see tiger dung all around the street and people and stepping on it?

In Kerala, beef is one the favorite dishes for most of the population. Since I am from Kerala, I am used to having it too. Well I might be a little biased on that, but whats the point in this law?

But if we are considering cow as "holy animal", shouldn't we consider Rat as a holy animal too ?? After all .. he is Ganapathy's vehicle. Maybe we can pass a law to stop the execution of Rats and shutdown rat poison factories.

JUST A THOUGHT ....

Hey there was some interesting dicussion on google buzz regarding this c... check it out

12:07 pm Vaisakh P S: Haa Haa
2:30 pm Priya Pramod: hey... so wats ur point? should we wait until a point when cows numbers also equals the no: of tigers now.....???? coool down beef eater!!!..... :D
2:42 pm Vaisakh P S: nope...
2:44 pm Vaisakh P S: let me ask you something priya... do u find anything wrong in having beef??
2:50 pm Priya Pramod: beef is not a better than any other meat...hope u know that too....
2:53 pm Vaisakh P S: I didn't say that beef is better or not... the point of this discussion or my post was to see exactly why they are abolishing execution..Is it because of some religious concerns ???
If it is so, then why cant be tigers or some other creatures who are facing extinction be considered??
2:53 pm Syama Sudheesh: to me the bill itself seems stupid but ur reasoning to that even more so...

if they're gonna ban killing of cows why not ban killing of all animals ... surely that makes more sense. it almost feel like India is a Hindu country and n not one which enforces equality.
If people feel that someone else eating beef (no harm intended.... u may use the term "cow" as necessary) is actually has anything to do with them then please stop having any kind of meat... because it goes against the teaching of budha... n stop having anything underground pulses bcoz that goes against jainism... n i'm sure i can find something or other against everyone's eating habits if i google long enough
2:54 pm Syama Sudheesh: n btw my dear brother its already agaisnt indian laws (infact international laws) to kill a tiger
2:54 pm Vaisakh P S: and yet we are doing it....
3:04 pm Remya m: Vaisakh, the laws have become a major public stunt to gather more votes..
If all of them were meant for public good, then our country wud hav had more politicians in jails, than outside :P
3:05 pm Aadithyan Bhattathiri: neeyokke beef thinnu marikkeda...athum oru mindaaprani alle...
3:19 pm Vaisakh P S: Dey AAdi... just because vegetables are not talking, does it mean that they are life-less?? They also grows up, (like us)
they also lay their seeds (like us)
they also die of age...(like us)

If you are defining animal or even living being based on their response when u talk to them... then i think you need to redefine your meaning of living beings
3:37 pm Priya Pramod: hey... so seems like ther is a law not to kill tigers.. and still it happends...
you know tiger is not a dining item for common man atleadt in our country.. they are killed to make money than to make curry :D... still their number went down to 1411!!
in case of poor cows as u said most of them are kiled for dining ..which involves more mass of ppl[even u eat beaf!!] so if atleast a law is passed ..dont u think that their species also will face the same situation of tigers in the near futurre??

And i agree to one of ur comments : "just because vegetables are not talking, does it mean that they are life-less?? They also grows up, (like us)
they also lay their seeds (like us)
they also die of age...(like us)

"
i totally agree to that... we cant say veg eating means not making some living things...inert..!! rite..? :)
3:43 pm Syama Sudheesh: @ priya: u forget then people raise cows these days mostly to get milk or to sell them off for meat... so currently there's no need for u to be scared for their well being

3:56 pm Vaisakh P S: Shez got a point you know.... :P
4:17 pm Priya Pramod: @Syama : xcuse me i also told the same syama... that they are raised by ppl to sell of as meat...
4:35 pm Syama Sudheesh: u see priya d point i made wasnt that they're raised to be sold but that they wont be extinct anytime soon bcoz they're raised that way..

n btw r u a vegetarian???
4:39 pm Anand Ramkumar Shanmugam: gutka, ganja etc., etc., everything still available for consumption...
so why bother... in India enforcement of laws is almost nil...
:) only prob is u may not get beaf in SPAR any more...
4:39 pm Priya Pramod: sorry to say yaar...i feel ur sentence is a paradox...
5:11 pm yutha vasanth: Let those who want to protect wildlife come to bangalore streets and control the count of street dogs which bite each and everyone except thieves...
