In my last post, I mentioned about trip down memory lane. I thought of sharing it to you all.
(DISCLAIMER: I am not holding any responsibilities for anyone who fells victim to a serious case of sleep or boredom after reading this, coz this may turn out to be a lengthy one after all... out of my usual fashion)
Yesterday I was on my way to natice, from Bangalore. Got off the train in eranakulam station and decided to take KSRTC bus to my town from there. Was waiting in bus station, and you know what? after 10-20 minutes, a bus that I sometimes (mostly) used to take for going to college after weekend - direct bus to Vallikavu turned up and since the crowd was less I got on that with out any second thoughts. Its funny no? Things of our past keeps on turning up just to keep us remind of who, what and how we were back then? .... Man i gotta change this habit. i am talking like an old man, cherishing his good times :P
The scene is set a few years back - my college life, how i used to go back to college every monday. I studied in Amrita Institute of Technology and Science, in a very small village of Vallikavu on the borders of Kollam District in Kerala. and yeah, people ... dont think it was spiritual and stuff just because the college was owned by ashram. We have had our best times of our lives there.
My college was about and hour and a half journey from my place so my folks decided to put in hostel. Every weekend I will head back home and start back on Monday morning by bus. Fours years of my college, its been a routines life in this. Friday evening heading back home in bus with friends and Monday morning bacl again. It was real fun. I made some really good friends for my life - Sandhya, Sarath, Laxmi... a lot. Got really close to some. Worrying about getting a copy of assignment from friends and exams coming up... I think I will need to write a different post just for my friends, who came into my life, this might not be enough.
And lot of one-time crushes too :P. You will get to see lot of "colors" monday morning in bus stand and in bus. So I had my share of crushes too. And there was this one girl who got my attention (for sometimes). She was studying in Karunagapally IHRD college .. not even in my college. She looked really cute back then.. You know the brainy(NOT A NERD, which I was), inncocent looking, typical Indian girl. I even once talked to her, when our bus got punctured in half way and had to get down at another station for repairs. I guess she was pretty scared back then, and I made a really lousy impression (didn't know how to sweet talk then) too... So things didn't TAKE OFF as such :P.
How my dad used to drop me off at bus station every one morning like clock work
All these and a lot went through my head in that one and half hour journey back home in that same old bus that I used to take to go to my college.
